ABOUT:
AS220 is a non-profit community arts space in downtown Providence. Their mission is to provide an unjuried and uncensored forum for the arts.
AS220 Youth division employs and engages Rhode Island’s underserved youth in the art process, career development, and self expression.

PROJECT:
Youth are encourage to explore entrepreneurship through product design. The AS220 Youth design team developed, produced, and sold products branded as PDT (Product Design Team). PDT made products such as: T-shirts, buttons, greeting cards, and book-marks, post cards, calendars, etc… These products were sold online and at local street fairs and stores.

OUTCOMES:
*Developed product design curriculum for AS220 Youth program that aimed to improve skills, produce portfolios, and explore entrepreneurship.

*Guided and engaged youth in classes from creation, to production, to the marketplace that resulted in PDT products being acquired and sold by local stores like Frog & Toad and Craftland.
